Three technologies working in the right order
Each Supreme Aqua purifier combines these methods to deliver water that is safe from the first sip.
Reverse Osmosis
Removes harmful contaminants and excess dissolved minerals, and improves the taste of hard water.
Ultraviolet
Disinfects the water, so germs and bacteria do not reach your glass.
Ultrafiltration
Filters out fine particles for clear, clean water in domestic, industrial and commercial use.

Not every kind of water is safe to drink
Of all the water on Earth, less than 1% is drinkable and available for human consumption.
Tap water
Sourced from a dam or river, treated, stored and piped to homes. Intermittent supply through old pipelines, many running parallel to sewage lines, can make it unsafe, especially in peak summer and the flood-prone rainy season.
Mineral water
Water enriched with calcium and magnesium, drawn from mineral-rich underground sources. Bottling at the source makes it costly, but the minerals can aid digestion and immune health.
Packaged drinking water
Treated with filtration, reverse osmosis, UV or ozone, then sealed in bottles or pouches. Gaps in treatment, handling or distribution can make it microbiologically unsafe, and sunlight on plastic bottles may cause harmful chemical reactions.
Spring or glacier water
Collected at the source, so it is generally clean and sometimes naturally mineral-rich. Authentic brands such as Evian or Arrowhead are among the best in the world but very expensive, and some lesser-known sellers bottle raw water without testing it.
Well water
Free and convenient in rural areas, but raw well water may carry bacteria, high iron and even arsenic, which can lead to toxic metal poisoning. Research your local water, and treat it with RO or UV before drinking.
Distilled water
Boiled into vapor and condensed back, so it is free of contaminants and bacteria. It also lacks essential minerals and salts, and drinking too much can pull minerals from your body and teeth.
Hard water
Water with a high mineral content, caused by limestone, chalk or gypsum, or by over-extracted groundwater. Soap that does not lather is a sign. It can dry skin, dull hair and corrode plumbing, and IS 10500 sets limits for drinking water. An RO+UV purifier brings hardness under control, and a softener protects your fixtures.
Alkaline water
Popular, but there is very little scientific evidence for claims about slowing ageing or preventing cancer. It can reduce the stomach acid that kills harmful bacteria, and too much can cause metabolic alkalosis, with nausea and vomiting.
Choose a purifier that suits your water quality
With ageing pipelines, a growing population and rising water stress, a home water purification system is the practical way to keep your family's water clean and safe.
